BALLARD FILMMAKERS ARE 3 FOR 3 AT SHORLINE SHORT SHORT FILM FEST

Liam Bonds Accepts Best Student Film Prize

For the third year in a row, students from Ballard’s Digital Filmmaking Program were prize-winners at the third annual Shoreline Short Short Film Festival last Saturday at Shoreline Community College.  Liam Bonds, Zach Boone & Ethan Hawthorne-Dallas won Best Student Film for their short Doubts.  The award was the traditional “Golden Sasquatch” trophy and a check for $250.  Their victory is especially impressive as almost all the other films competing in the student category were produced by college students.  The festival accepts work from professional filmmakers as well as college and high school students throughout Washington.

Doubts premiered in New York City last October at the All American High School Film Festival.  It can currently be seen on the Ballard High School Digital Filmmaking Program vimeo site.
